Ms Phumzile Chifunyise: Agribusiness, Youth & Women Entrepreneurship

Phumzile Chifunyise is an Agripreneur and Enterprise & Supplier Development Consultant with 12 years experience in Enterprise Development, Learning and Development, and Communications. She is also the Founder of The Crop Box, a B2B/B2C food service that works with local urban farmers and manufacturers to source and supply large scale Fresh Produce, Poultry, Grains, and Dry Goods to Commercial, NGO, and household markets.

In her tenure in the private sector she has worked in Sustainability and Corporate Affairs functions, where she strategized and led numerous local, regional, and global Entrepreneurship programmes that aimed to catapult Youth and Women owned businesses through access to expertise, growth opportunities, and sustainable markets across industries such as Agriculture and Logistics. In the Learning & Development field, she has successfully coordinated and facilitated training programmes to drive Marketing and Distribution functions towards fit for purpose capabilities and skills required for the workplace.

As a business owner she is a strong player in the Food Economy that services private and public supply chains with commercial volumes of locally sourced fresh, wet and dry food products. Her business is centred around Food Security and job creation, they are also implementation partners of community feeding programmes that have benefitted over 600 child and elderly headed impoverished homes.

Her expertise lie in Programme Management, Stakeholder Relations, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation, Business & Report Writing.

Phumzile is also a Public Speaker that focuses on Agriculture Distribution, Youth & Women Entrepreneurship, as well as Localisation topics. She holds a Bachelors degree in Journalism, and is an Assessor with the ETDP SETA.
